2016 Running Group

  • Why did you sign up for the run group?


Paula Phillip:          To challenge myself to do something I didn’t think I could do.  And to help me continue on my weight loss journey

Dan Gullickson:       I needed coaching to help prepare for my first 5k.  Karla and Jim Schultz are great coaches to run for and work with helping me get better each training session.

  • What’s your goal for the race?


Paula:        To finish in less then 35 minutes

Dan:     Run my first 5k in less than 30 minutes.


  • How has running with a group helped you with your training?


Paula:        Running in a group has helped keep me motivated to keep running.  And has challenged me to push myself harder.

Dan:    It pushed me to get up Saturday mornings to see the sun rise, without my running group I would have missed those sun rises.
